Ibn Hamza al-Maghribi

Ibn Hamza al-Maghribi (Arabic: ابن حمزة المغربي‎) was a 16th-century Muslim mathematician. He was born in Algeria but was educated in Istanbul during the rule of Murad III.[1]

His most important work was Tuhfat al-a'dad fi-l-hisab (The Ornament of Numbers), in Turkish, which discusses some form of the concept of the logarithm.[2]
