Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya (English: Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University, Hindi: महात्मा गांधी अंतरराष्ट्रीय हिंदी विश्वविद्यालय) is a Central University located in Wardha, Maharashtra, India.

The university came into existence through an Act of Parliament which received the assent of the President on January 8, 1997. The purpose of the act was to establish and incorporate a teaching university for the promotion and development of Mahatma Gandhi experimented all programmes dear to his heart.

Organizational structure

There are eight Schools in the University:

  • School of Language
  • School of Literature
  • School of Culture
  • School of Translation & Interpretation
  • School of Humanities and Social Science
  • School of Creativity
  • School of Management
  • School of Education

Besides this, the Distance Education programme of the University is actively involved in spreading education among students in all the areas of the country. Three centers, namely Baba Sahab Ambedkar Center for Dalit and Tribal Studies, Mahatma Gandhi Fuji Guruji Center for Ahinsa and Peace Studies and Bhadant Anand Kaushalyayan Center for Budhhist Studies have also been established.
