Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital

Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital (MPUH), also known as Nadiad Kidney Hospital, is a not-for-profit Trust Hospital in Nadidad, Gujarat, established in 1978, and is the first speciality Urology Hospital in India.

Facilities

Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital (MPUH) was the first hospital in Gujarat to have a da Vinci Si Robot for robotic-assisted surgeries. It was also the first hospital in India to have a Robotic High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) for the non-surgical treatment of prostate cancer.[1] The first live kidney transplant in Gujarat was done at MPUH. The hospital is an ISO 9001:2008 certified hospital.

The Jayaramdas Patel Academic Centre (JPAC), which is attached to the hospital, is an academic centre that supports the hospital, by conducting 3-year DNB courses in Nephrology, Urology and Anaesthesiology, as well as conducting various super specialty training programmes on all aspects of Urology and nephrology.
