Location
The station is located on Sea Island, along the Canada Line branch serving Vancouver International Airport (YVR), and serves the airline-related industrial area along Grant McConachie Way east of the airport. Both Sea Island Centre and Templeton stations were built at ground level to allow for the future construction of an elevated aircraft taxiway over the Canada Line guideway.

Airport surcharge
A $5 surcharge applies on cash fares purchased at vending machines at Sea Island Centre Station, however day passes, FareSaver tickets and monthly passes are exempt from the surcharge. Travel between YVR–Airport, Sea Island Centre and Templeton stations is free.
