Alexandre "Xande" Ribeiro (born January 20, 1981 in Manaus, Brazil), is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, mixed martial artist and submission wrestler. He is a two-time World (Mundial) Black Belt Absolute (open weight) World Jiu-Jitsu Champion, four-time World (Mundial) Black Belt Heavy Weight Champion, and three-time World Black Belt Pro Division Champion.


Xande was born in Manaus, Amazonas Brazil and moved to USA in 2002. He lived in Toledo, Ohio for 5 years when he moved to San Diego, CA where he taught at the University of Jiu Jitsu and trained MMA at The Arena MMA. Now he resides in Los Angeles, California, where he runs the Xande Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu Association and his school Xande Jiu Jitsu, located at the True Warrior Fitness Gym.

Personal life

Ribeiro has a brother, Saulo Ribeiro, who is also a Jiu-jitsu and submission wrestling champion. They have both won multiple ADCC and World Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championships.
