Yehi'am Fortress National Park is an Israeli national park in the western Upper Galilee on the grounds of Kibbutz Yehi'am. The park features the ruins of a hilltop fortress, built in Ottoman times and dating from the Crusades. The fortress was substantially restructured in the 18th century by the Bedouin leader Dhaher al-Omar, and Bedouin tribes lived in Khirbat Jiddin. the fortress at The buildings include a mosque, watch tower and assembly hall.[1]
Archaeological finds in the park include the remains of a Roman fort, a Byzantine monastery, burial caves, stones inscribed with crosses and fragments of mosaic.[2]
